PETS'2001 Paper Submissions
Prospective authors are invited to submit expressions of interest.
-
Expression of interest If you are interested in submitting a paper
to the workshop, we request that you register your interest NOW. If you
are able, please submit the title of the submission, the name and contact
information of the primary author, and a short abstract (not longer than
300 words in plain text format detailing the likely tracking method(s)
to be used). This information may be added/amended later if you wish, but
in any case, no later than September 1 2001. Click
here
for the on-line expression of interest page. This information
will allow us to initially assess the numbers of people interested in contributing
to the workshop, and to ensure that we can communicate further details
to you effectively.

eight pages including figures and references, should be submitted

Tracking results and additional resources (movies etc) An anonymous
FTP facility ftp://ftp.cs.rdg.ac.uk:/pub/vision/PETS2001/
has been established for authors to upload their papers, tracking results,
and any additional resources in support of their submissions for review
purposes. Further details of the exact format for submitting tracking
results will be announced later. Submitted papers should refer in
the text to supporting movies as "Movie 1", etc. Authors should name the
associated movie files that they upload to the FTP site using the convention
"nnn-1.ext", etc., where "nnn" identifies the submission number assigned
to the paper when an author registers the submission online at the PETS2001
WWW site and "ext" is a standard image or movie file format extension (e.g.,
jpg, ras, gif, mpg, mpeg, avi, mov). Uploaded files not adhering
to this convention will be deleted. Access the FTP site anonymously in
the usual way, e.g.:
ftp ftp.cs.rdg.ac.uk
Name: ftp
Password: <SEND YOUR E-MAIL ADDRESS AS PASSWORD>
ftp> binary
ftp> cd /pub/vision/PETS2001/
ftp> put <FILENAME>
Note that it is crucial to employ "binary" transfer and that the incoming/
directory is write-only. The FTP site will be closed to incoming transfers
on September 1 2001 and the contents will
subsequently be made accessible to reviewers via the WWW. Disclaimer: While
reviewers are encouraged to view all movie files supporting a submission,
there can be no guarantee that they will do so. After the reviewing
process, the FTP site will be re-opened for submission of final camera-ready
copies of papers and other supporting files after
15 2001.
Deadline for both paper and on-line submissions: 5pm
GMT, September 1, 2001.
